The mid-tempo pop ballad received mostly positive reviews, both for the music and this music video. Perry performed the song live on the UK version of the The X Factor on October 16, 2011. It has peaked at number eighteen on the US Billboard Hot 100 to date.

Perry described the song as reminiscent of her youth while contemplating her future marriage to boyfriend Russell Brand.
